Supporting Energy Code Compliance in Minnesota

This session will focus on lighting controls requirements within the 2024 MN Commercial Energy Code. Attendees will be able to interpret and evaluate lighting controls code compliance considering multiple codes with a wholistic viewpoint.

These sessions will offer practical guidance on conducting plan reviews in accordance with Minnesota’s 2024 Commercial Energy Code Requirements. The morning sessions will provide an overview of Minnesota’s 2024 Commercial Energy Code, covering compliance path options and highlighting significant changes from the 2020 code. 

Following this, there will be an in-depth examination of performance path reviews. The afternoon session will build on the knowledge gained in the morning, delving into commissioning requirements for building envelope, lighting, and HVAC systems. The focus will be on the new requirements and the key elements that code officials should verify. 

The session will conclude with a discussion on potential changes in future iterations of the code.
